Keith Crosby is the manager of the United Rentals store in Susanville. Keith is a graduate of Lassen Technical Institute, and Universal Technical Institute. He also has his AA degreeKeith Crosby in Business Administration from Lassen College. When Keith decided to go racing he started out in the class that is now known as Pro-Stock. The 1984 Monte Carlo through the next three years was completely revamped. Before his first full-year of racing Keith traveled to Tennessee to learn driving skills from the top two dirt track racers around, Dale McDowell and Ray Cook. At the track 30 miles west of North Carolina Keith learned driving tips while driving a late model and a modified around the red dirt track of Tennessee’s Cleveland Speedway. He also participated in the set-up program at the school that teaches the techniques to properly prepare the race car for different style tracks and conditions.

The first full year of racing saw Keith get a third place finish in the points race and Rookie of the Year. The second year he won the championship.

Last year the National Guard joined the growing numbers of corporate partners supporting the new CRD Motorsports National Guard # 86 modified. That year the car was run at Lassen Speedway seven times and won first place three times. The car never finished out of the top four. Two of the 1st place finishes were the 4th of July race and the Fair Race.

This year the car has been very successful at the local track and at this date has finished no worse than fourth. A reprieve from racing to go on vacation bumped Keith and the National Guard # 86 car out of 1st place but the last race saw Crosby gaining ground and points on the Championship.

Keith is also is an avid baseball fan and a hunter. When he is not racing he can also be found coaching his daughter Caitlyn Crosby in softball or soccer. We are hoping Caitlyn may be the next generation Crosby racer.
